It includes original notes, drafts, tables, cards, and charts that relate to the work of Arthur Evans and numerous other scholars working towards the publication of the Knossos documents and the decipherment of Linear B. The Knossos documents were published by John Myres in 1952 under the title Scripta Minoa II. Throughout the editing process, Myres consulted and received help from numerous scholars, including Alice Kober, Emmett Bennett, and Michael Ventris
